Nikki and Zeke first met in college when a friend had set them up on a date. They are both believers and faith is super important to them. They are also both really goofy and so loving to everyone around them, including the 200 people that they had at their wedding. Nikki and Zeke dated for a few years before having a small wedding last April due to the pandemic. In the meantime, they have been planning their big party for this August! They gave their family one week to prep and just did the damn thing, and it turned out better than I ever could have imagined.
This day was just PERFECT! Nikki & Zeke had their wedding at Brix & Columns Vineyard in McGaheysville, VA. There was a gorgeous overcast throughout the day and a beautiful clear sky for sunset into the evening. For an August wedding it was actually pretty cool outside and we weren’t covered in sweat – WOOHOO! The day was filled with so much fun and laughter. Nikki and Zeke’s families are the most loving families I think I have ever met. I cried along with them way more than I should have, but you could just FEEL the love filling the room. Don’t even get me started talking about her dad’s speech, because there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
At the end of the day, I had the best time being able to capture such special and unforgettable moments. It definitely was an emotionally draining day, but in the absolute BEST WAY POSSIBLE! Fun fact: Nikki and I actually went to high school together! It was the biggest honor to be a part of her day and laugh & cry along with her and Zeke. They were so happy that the day went so smoothly and that they finally got to celebrate with their friends & family after a year of waiting!
Also, if anyone ever needs a song recommendation for their wedding day, play Good for You by Olivia Rodrigo – it got WILD! Zeke’s favorite song, Pony by Ginuwine, also featured on this day so as you can imagine when it came time for that lap dance it was absolutely HILARIOUS!
Thank you so much N+Z for giving me the honor to capture such amazing moments for you. I am so incredibly happy for both of you – you seriously deserve the world!
