Vaughan Greenhouse Anniversary
Brooke had reached out to me a few weeks back wanting to do a photoshoot with her boyfriend, Jojo. After some time, we decided to shoot at one of my favorite locations, The Vaughan Greenhouse, here in Forest, Virginia.

The Vaughan Greenhouse is one of my favorite places to shoot and I was so excited when this was the location we settled on. The Vaughan Greenhouse is a beautiful space where photographers and creatives can gather to create forever memories. Surrounded by greenery from the floor to the ceiling, it truly is a work of art. It’s the perfect location if you’re really looking for something more peaceful and serene for your photos.
Now for Brooke and Jojo, it was just a regular photoshoot. It actually worked out to where the shoot was done 1 week before their anniversary, so it was the perfect anniversary celebration for both of them. They both have never had photos done before, which was surprising by how natural they moved in front of the camera. They even brought along their dog, Bean, and he was so well behaved and incredibly adorable. Highly recommend bringing your pup to your photoshoot, just make sure you bring someone along to watch the pup while we snag some photos of just the two of you! Surrounded by the beautiful plants and flowers, it felt like something out of a fairytale book.
Blue Ridge Parkway Portraits
After shooting at The Vaughan Greenhouse for a bit, we made our way to the mountains for some more photos. We took some photos along the Blue Ridge Parkway and it was just perfect. I absolutely love when my couples choose locations that truly represent them and it really was the best of both worlds (cue Hannah Montana theme song). They had the beautiful greenery and nature with the Vaughan Greenhouse and then the more adventurous mountainside photos along the BRP. The BRP is the perfect location if you’re looking for some incredibly epic views and far away from major crowds.
Brooke and Jojo were so much fun to photograph and were some of the BEST models. We were really able to have so much creativity and fun when it came to their photos which I love. It’s the best when couples allow us photographers to have some creativity and freedom when it comes to shooting. Brooke & Jojo were so open-minded which is what I think made this shoot a huge success!
