Virginia Wedding at Upper Shirley Vineyard
For all you reading this, take this as your sign to have your wedding at a vineyard. Trust me… you won’t regret it *wink*.
Maddy and Evan had their beautiful wedding ceremony on one beautiful Fall day at St. Paul’s Cathedral here in Richmond, Virginia. After the ceremony, we made our way over to the reception over at Upper Shirley Vineyard. Maddie and Evan worked with this amazing wedding planner, Christine Greenburg, (@thereal2chaines) to make the wedding day of their dreams come true – and guess what? It did! Christine really made sure plan for even the littlest of details. With so much planning, it all came together to make the wedding THAT much more beautiful.

For wedding portraits, we made sure to do them before the ceremony, since of course M+E wanted to be a part of their cocktail hour! Also, can I please get more couples who are down to do oyster shots like these two??? I mean seriously… coolest couple of the year award goes to??? Of course once cocktail hour and dinner was finished, it was time to bust a move on the dance floor. All of Maddy and Evan’s friends were not shy to having a good time and that’s exactly what they had. Everyone was on the dance floor just enjoying the company and celebrating which is some of my favorite parts about weddings.
Probably one of the most special moments to witness was seeing the relationship between Maddie and her dad. Maddie decided that she wanted to do a first look with her dad and to say the waterworks were in full effect. It might as well have been like Niagara Falls! I absolutely love when my couples are into the first look moments and being able to surprise either a family member or their partner. It adds this element of surprise and is a great way for some alone time as well!
Moral of the story: The vibes were immaculate, the food was delicious, the company was A1, and I had an amazing time being there for Maddie & Evan. Thank you so much for letting me apart of something so special. Congrats M & E!!
