Getting to be around so many amazing personalities is one of the many reasons why I love my job so stinkin’ much. We get to create so many amazing memories and get to know each other on a deeper level. Engagement sessions are also the best way for wedding photographers to get to know our couples prior to the wedding day! So pretty much, I would highly recommend doing them. For Emmalee & Liam’s outdoor Fall Virginia engagement photos, we made our way to one of my hidden gem locations. Think open fields, golden hour goodness, and a lot of corny dad jokes and laughing.

Outdoor Fall Virginia Engagement Photos

Emmalee and Liam’s radiated almost as much as the sun did that day. We started off with Emmalee and Liam wearing a bit more casual wear. We wanted their engagement photos to still feel authentic to them so tons of candids were a must! Emmalee & Liam even brought along their adorable pup which is a HUGE yes from me. Just make sure you always have a backup plan on where you can put your pup when it comes to taking some solo photos of just the two of you. You can either leash him somewhere or bring along a friend to watch them while we’re over here snapping away!

With a ton more space, we made our way to this *gorgeous* open field which I think really emphasized just how beautiful the sun was this day. Like can we take a moment to appreciate the golden glow?! Shortly after, we had Emmalee and Liam do an outfit change to their more formal engagement attire. A quick outfit change half-way through your engagement photos are the perfect way to get a “two-for-one” deal. You get the look of two sets of engagement photos, all within one shoot! Liam and Emmalee had no shortness of love and I am so honored to have been there to document this special time in their lives!
