There are few things I love more than capturing a couple’s unique vision for their special day. So, when Madeline and Trevor told me about their plan to elope in the city they’ve called home for the past ten years, I knew it was going to be something truly special!!! They wanted a day that was all about them—no nerves, no expectations, just pure love and excitement. And let me tell you, their NYC elopement was everything they dreamed of and more!

The day started in their cozy Brooklyn apartment, where they got ready together, savoring every sweet moment of the morning. They picked up a simple bouquet from a florist down the street, and then we were off to City Hall. Taking the subway, we embraced the city’s vibrant energy, stopping at a hot dog stand for a true taste of New York. It was relaxed, intimate, and perfectly them!

The elopement ceremony at the courthouse was quick and simple, but in that brief moment, they became husband and wife—YAY!!! The joy on their faces was contagious. But the surprises weren’t over yet. As we stepped outside, Madeline revealed a vintage taxi waiting to whisk them away. Trevor’s excitement was so cool to see as the classic cab took us across the Brooklyn Bridge, offering stunning skyline views. We captured some incredible photos with the taxi, each shot capturing that NYC timeless charm!

After the courthouse adventure, we headed back to Brooklyn Heights. Madeline and Trevor popped a bottle of champagne in their apartment, savoring their first moments as newlyweds! Their elopement was not just a ceremony but a celebration of their love and the life they’ve built together. The day continued with martinis at their local bar, followed by a cozy dinner around the corner with close family and friends. It was their ideal date night, now made even more special with new rings on their fingers.

Reflecting on this amazing day, I’m reminded of why I love what I do. Madeline and Trevor’s trust in me to capture their intimate moments allowed us to create beautiful, authentic images that they’ll cherish forever.
