When it comes to wedding photography, it’s more than just capturing moments; it’s about forging meaningful connections. I recently had the incredible honor of photographing Ale and Juan’s destination wedding in beautiful Peru! It was a journey that began with a unique twist of fate and a shared passion for good food!

Ale and I first crossed paths when she booked a branding session with her hairstylist. Little did we know that this meeting would be the start of an amazing journey. We soon discovered our shared love for photography, and our mentorship quickly evolved into a deep and lasting friendship. Our friendship grew as we worked together on various weddings and photoshoots. Ale and Juan, being the culinary connoisseurs they are, made incredible food a cornerstone of their lives. One day, over a meal, Ale shared her dream with me: “LET’S GO TO PERU AND EAT AMAZING FOOD”! The idea of documenting their wedding in Peru, the place where Ale was born and raised until middle school, was nothing short of a DREAAAM! This was not only a journey of love but also a chance to immerse ourselves in the culture, the food, and the breathtaking landscapes of this enchanting country!

Peru, a land of awe-inspiring beauty, presented us with a challenge in the form of altitude. We journeyed from sea level to a breathtaking 13,000 feet above sea level, and the altitude did not hold back in reminding us of its presence. Ale had to pause and catch her breath which was a vivid reminder of the powerful elevation changes. We couldn’t help but laugh throughout our slight struggles; after all, good humor is the best companion for any adventure!

Their destination wedding took place in the picturesque village of Tiobamba, a place that held immense significance for Ale and Juan. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Peruvian landscape, it was an intimate affair. The ceremony was nothing short of magical, with native Peruvian rituals and traditions woven into the fabric of their commitment. The love and respect for their heritage shone through, creating an unforgettable experience!

But what’s a trip to Peru without savoring its iconic dish, Lomo Saltado? We indulged in this Peruvian classic and shared unforgettable meals in cozy cabins, our friendship solidified around food, laughter, and love. We all learned so much about each other and about this incredible country. 

After the wedding, Ale and Juan embarked on their honeymoon, the next chapter in their extraordinary love story. It was an adventure filled with new discoveries, exquisite cuisine, and breathtaking sights, perfectly reflecting the love that had brought them together.
