Carrie and Chet are giving me very much spooky western vibes and trust me, I AM HERE FOR IT. Just in time for spooky season too! We headed over to one of my fave locations to shoot at, Shenandoah National Park, for their engagement session and here’s how it went.
So for this engagement session, Chet, Carrie and I headed on over to Shenandoah National Park to enjoy the beautiful mountains and of course… blue hour. I know that many people absolutely LOVE golden hour, which don’t get me wrong, golden hour can be so beautiful. However depending on the type of vibe you’re looking for, blue hour is where it’s at. Now if you don’t know, blue hour is the atmosphere we get once the sun has set. As the sun sets beyond the horizon, the remaining sunlight turns a bluish hue – hence blue hour.
Both Chet and Carrie wanted something fun and different when it came to their engagement photos. They didn’t want to have the typical engagement session, so we really played around with posing and got creative. Carrie really wanted this engagement session to be dark & moody and that’s exactly what we got.
Carrie and Chet are planning on getting married in October of 2022, and are looking for these moody and dark vibes for their wedding as well. I am so honored to have been able to capture these beautiful engagement photos for Carrie and Chet. I’m even more excited for their wedding day and of course, you all will be hearing about it *wink*.
Psst… if you loved this Blue Hour Engagement at Shenandoah National Park, then you’re going to love this Philadelphia Engagement Session.
