Kolob Canyons Styled Elopement
One of the perks of my job is being able to travel and see so many interesting and fun locations. So you know how much I love traveling. Recently I went on a little travel frenzie to one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. The Kolob Canyons in Zion National Park in Utah! While I was there, I was able to organize this fun Kolob Canyons styled elopement with Tana & Tyree and here’s how it went!

Since it was the middle of summer, towards the bottom of the mountain the weather was pretty warm. As we got closer to the top, it was much more comfortable though. Thank you very much Mother Nature! I was so excited to put together this shoot because often times there’s a negative stigma around elopements. It was awesome to be able to organize something so beautiful to show how eloping can be a fun & intimate option for couples looking for something different than a traditional wedding. Elopements are a perfect alternative for those looking for something much more intimate and small for their wedding. Although many may look at elopements as “untraditional”, they really give you the opportunity to have more intimacy with your partner and get more creative. If you and your partner have a bucket list place, or you want to wear a dress that’s NOT white, you can do that. If you want to hike to the top of a mountain or have your ceremony on the edge of a cliff, the sky’s the limit!
Kolob Canyons Styled Elopement
Although hot, it was gorgeous and super sunny throughout the shoot so we really were able to play with a lot of direct light. Tana & Tyree were such amazing models and truly were the perfect pair for the job. They have actually known each other since they were 16 and have been friends (besties more like it) since! They model often together and seriously make their “love” so believable. We had such a blast being able to run around and just get creative throughout this whole process. They were so excited for the concept and the outfits that I picked out for them so it couldn’t have been more perfect.
At the end of the shoot I was so PUMPED! I knew that I had gotten some amazing content and Tana & Tyree would love the outcome too. Honestly, this gallery is the fastest album that I have ever edited. I was so excited to go through them all and see all of the beauty we created. Thanks for Tana & Tyree for making this styled elopement come to life!
